Each AirPop Light SE, kids and Pocket mask, when properly cleaned and maintained, will continue performing at the stated filtration efficiency for at least 40 hours of cumulative use.

To achieve this all masks should be cleaned with 70% alcohol for a minimum of 20 seconds and dried naturally >24 hours. 

Or alternatively, AirPop masks can also be hand washed with soap at 30°C and dried naturally >24 hours.

AirPop Light SE, Kids and Pocket mask can also be machine washed on a delicate wash at 40°C on 45-minute cycle with mild detergent for up to 10 times and in our own tests, filtration continues to exceed >70% efficiency

ORIGINAL WASHABILITY

The exterior of all Original masks is impermeable to liquids so can be wiped down with a >70% alcohol unscented wipe or with a clean paper towel, soap, and water.

Each AirPop Original replaceable filter, when properly cleaned and maintained, will continue performing at the stated filtration efficiency for at least 40 hours of wear time.

To achieve this all replaceable filters should be cleaned with 70% alcohol for a minimum of 20 seconds and dried naturally >24 hours. 

ACTIVE WASHABILITY

Active masks can be washed machine washed on a delicate detergent wash at 30° C on a 45-minute cycle and allowed to dry naturally >24 hours.

Each AirPop Active replaceable filter, when properly cleaned and maintained, will continue performing at the stated filtration efficiency for at least 40 hours of wear time.

To achieve this all replaceable filters should be cleaned with 70% alcohol for a minimum of 20 seconds and dried naturally >24 hours.

ACTIVE+ HALO SMART WASHABILITY

NOTE: Remove the Halo sensor as per the instruction booklet before attempting to clean, wash or maintain your mask.

The Active+ mask outer (not the sensor) can be washed machine washed on a delicate detergent wash at 30° C on a 45-minute cycle and allowed to dry naturally >24 hours

SKIN FRIENDLY

The materials used in all AirPop Masks are tested to DIN ISO 10993-5 2009-10 by an independent lab and are certified as bio-compatible, non-toxic, and skin-friendly.

Al tests were conducted by Hohenstein Institute.

WEAR TIME

Our masks have been assessed to continue performing at the stated levels for a minimum of 10 wash cycles or approximately 40 hours of cumulative wear. AirPop masks can be used for more than 40 hours provided the mask is clean and undamaged, however, it is to be expected that with further washing cycles, filtration efficiency and breathability will decrease from those stated in our product specifications.

All AirPop masks are manufactured in quality controlled facilities using specially selected Non-woven materials and filtration media. Our masks are regularly conformity assessed in accredited independent test laboratories according to the relevant country criteria and specified test methods.

United States - Meets ASTM F3502-21 Specification for Barrier Face Coverings.
In assessments by Intertek N.Y. All Adult AirPop Masks and replacement filter system demonstrated  >97%  sub micron particle filtration efficiency following 10 cleaning cycles.

United Kingdom - Kitemark Face Covering (AFNOR Spec S76-001:2020)
Quality Assured by BSI and awarded their prestigious Kitemark, in lab testing AirPop  Light SE, Pocket and Kids Masks demonstrated  >96%  particle filtration efficiency following 10 cleaning cycles

France - (AFNOR Spec S76-001:2020 - Level 2 90% )
In laboratory tests carried out by BSI in accordance with AFNOR  Spec S76-001:2020 specified test methods, AirPop  Light SE, Pocket and Kids Masks demonstrated  >96%  particle filtration efficiency following 10 cleaning cycles.

Spain - UNE 0065:2020 Re-usable Community Hygiene Masks

in conformity assessments carried out by Aitex Textile Research Institute in accordance with EN 14683:2019+ AC:2019 test methods, AirPop   Light SE, Pocket, Kids and Replacement filters  Masks demonstrated  >98%  bacterial filtration efficiency following 5 cleaning cycles.

Switzerland - Swiss National Covid-19 Science Task Force Community Mask 

In lab tests carried out by SQTS (Swiss Quality Testing Services), AirPop Pocket, Light SE and Kids masks demonstrated >95% filtration efficiency.

China - GB 2626:2019 / GB 2626:2006  KN95 -Air Purifying Respirator 

In conformity assessments carried out by CNAS accredited laboratories with the appropriate scope and calibration, All AirPop masks exceed 95% filtration efficiency and meet all parameters required by the Chinese National Standard KN95 for Non-Powered Air Purifying Respirators.

CUSTOM FIT - NO LEAKS

Any mask is only as good as its fit, so we carried out an Inclusive study of over 4000 facial scans to determine the optimum ergonomic design from a diverse range of face shapes, sizes, and ethnicity.

AirPop Active & Original masks employ our 4-layer filter core with patented 360 adaptive seal and flex frame construction to create a fit that’s as comfortable as it is correct. 

AirPop Light SE incorporates a soft flexible hypoallergenic nose seal which can be flipped outwards to accommodate larger size faces and also creates a flexible seal around the critical nose bridge area which is more comfortable than metal bars for glasses wearers and helps reduce misting.

AirPop Pocket and Kids Masks employ a soft ergo-foam seal to reduce pressure and discomfort on the bridge of the nose and face.

EASY BREATHING

Breathing in most masks can feel oppressive, we learned this from our in-depth user studies in 2015.

This creates a poor user experience and is the major reason people dislike wearing for any period of time.

To address this our innovative 3D Air Dome design is engineered for ideal air exchange and reduced CO2 accumulation making breathing easier.

This also prevents the mask from collapsing onto the lips/cheeks which makes speech difficult and can exacerbate skin/lip irritation.
